What is No-Guess Minesweeper?
No-Guess Minesweeper only serves boards that can be solved entirely with logic. You will never be forced into a 50/50 guess where two squares are equally likely to be a mine — there is always a deducible safe move.
How are no-guess boards created?
After your first click, the generator builds a candidate layout and runs a logic solver that uses the same deductions a human can make. If the board can be fully cleared without guessing, it is used; otherwise it is rebuilt. So every board you play has a guaranteed logical path.
Is No-Guess Minesweeper easier than Classic?
It removes luck, not difficulty. Hard no-guess boards still demand careful pattern recognition and chains of deduction — you just won't lose to an unavoidable coin flip.
Why do I still need to think carefully?
A safe move always exists, but it isn't always obvious. You may need patterns like 1-2-1 or subset reasoning to find it, which is exactly what makes no-guess play great practice.
